Since 2011, Jack Kain Ford, in Versailles, KY, has hosted 12 Drive 4 UR School events benefiting various local high schools; however, this year, the dealership worked with a new high school to benefit a program called Leaders in the Making, which had the dealership doing more than just offering test-drives.

Leaders in the Making helps high school students utilize their full potential by assisting them with college applications, providing them with job-shadowing opportunities and working with them to assess their career and educational opportunities after high school.

It was while serving on the board of directors for the Greater Texas FDAF in 2008 that Tim McRae, son of Bill McRae and General Manager of Bill McRae Ford, first heard of the Drive 4 UR School program. Inspired by the charitable test-drive initiative, Tim decided to host a Drive 4 UR School event in order to benefit his local schools.McRae remembers how participants were initially skeptical about engaging in the program.

This fall, Drive 4 UR School took the school fund-raiser show on the road, working with the legendary rock band Foreigner to help raise money for school music programs through Rock Then Roll 4 UR School.

High school is a time of discovery. In those four years, we learn a lot about who we are, where our talents lie and what we aspire to be. Think about how important that one class, that one sport or that one after-school group was in shaping your own future.

Ford has been in the fight against breast cancer since 1994 and is constantly seeking new ways to improve the lives of those affected by the disease. Over the past 21 years, Ford's Warriors in Pink program has dedicated more than $128 million to the breast cancer cause.

Ford Transit Connect Delivers

Community groups created videos to show how a Ford Transit Connect, courtesy of Drive 4 UR Community and Ford, could help their organization go further. Community Aid Elk River in Elk River, Minnesota, made an entertaining yet informative video about the challenges of distributing food donations to kids in need with limited transportation resources.

Douglas Community Services has been supporting people of all ages for the past 40 years. Their programs range from child development and education to senior skill-sharing and an emergency food pantry. Just like Ford and Drive 4 UR Community, as long as there’s a need, DCS will be there to fill it.

Community Organizations Show Ford How They “Go Further”

In order to celebrate Drive 4 UR School and Drive 4 UR Community reaching one million test-drives and raising over $20 million in donations, Ford invited participating organizations to send in photos illustrating how they go further for their community.
